Paula Scher is known for a lot of different things within the graphic design world, but out of everything researched while doing this project, what stuck with me the most was her hand painted maps and her Bring in da Noise poster. Her typography and colors from these projects inspired the overall look I wanted with this invitation for the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

The envelope is designed using her signature to create a pattern along the different planes. Opening it the first thing you would see is her map through the cut out front panel of the invitation, showing her most impressive works. Inside is her name, designed in her style of typography, with it moving from wide to condensed. The words of the invitation itself are kept minimal, but they are outlined with
black lines, another design element I noticed
from her Bring in da Noise poster.
