Primavera Sound is a Barcelona-based music festival that caters to all types of audiences. From rock to R&B, they feature 
an extensive list of artists year to year. 
To visualize the kind of mis-match that is seen in each years line up, the logo is created from three different typefaces. 
One is a blackletter to represent the rock bands that can be found, another is a san serif that advertises indie musicians, and the pixel font is to showcase artists creating elctronic music. 
So the logo can be used in a variety of ways, there are two variations aside from the main logo. 
One is accentuated with one of the hand-drawn shapes that were made to help add visual interest into the logos, merch and advertisements. 
For colors, a mix of light and dark were chosen so that they can be mixed around in different combinations to create eye-catching designs and truly represent the energy of the festival.
To celebrate the city of Barcelona, the famous Sagrada Familia Basilica is used as design element in the posters behind the text.


 

The merch and advertisements need to advertise the energy and spirit of Primavera Sound. 
The basilica is used to capture the complex and vibrant feeling of Barcelona and provide a texture 
for the posters and billboards. The t-shirts use the same idea, 
with the black shirt using the picture of the basilica, while the white t-shirt finds 
the desired impression through the energetic logo and bright color. 
The off-white chosen for many of the designs and t-shirt color are to represent the historical importance of Barcelona 
through a feeling of elegance. The pin and matchbox follow the same mentality, maintaining a kind of minimilist look while using type, 
shapes and color to show the energy of Primavera. The color pink has been designated to VIP items, 
meaning the matches are a VIP exclusive.


Another way to promote the festival is through social media. Above are social media posts intended to be posted on the 
Primavera Sound Instagram. The posts advertise several aspects of the festival. 
The top 6 are a slideshow, with two of the slides focus on large artists that are in the 2025 lineup, 
that being Charli XCX and Deftones, along with when and where they will be playing. 
The other slides show important information about the festival, 
with one slide focusing on Primavera a La Ciutat, a 6 day event that runs all throughout the city to different locations.
The food of the festival is also advertised, as Primavera prides itself on providing
food for people of any religion, diet or special needs.
